The Moss is Ever So Greenby *rad-ix

This year the moss seems to be resisting the winter. It looks so delightful... I wonder can you eat it?

Location:
In the forest at my back door. It's actually shot steeply down from the top of a very high hill in a densely wooded part of the forest. The entire area is covered in this lush spongy moss which looks like a richly thick green carpet... and so very soft under the foot! The afternoon sun adds some extra (much needed) warmth.
(Hochwald/Nature Reserve Saar-Hunsrück, Germany)
