Ever wondered what snails do in their spare time - they are planting trees, of course - how else would there be so many trees in the forest.
Location:
The forest at my back door
(if I had a back door, that is)
Hochwald, Germany.
Tech:
EOS 40D + Sigma 70-300 @ 190mm
Manfrotto 190CLB Tripod with 460MG Head
ISO 100 f16 6/10sec
After using the compact camera for my previous snail pic (there is a mountain) I decided to return to the same location with the Canon for a comparison. The result: The lightweight Kodak is certainly handy to carry but very difficult to use to get good results while the much heavier Canon and Manfrotto combination are remarkably awkward to carry (especially on long and rugged forest walks) but really have an edge with functionality and the resulting images... as to be expected.
All this while, the snail had been busy.
Does the moss need mowing?
Only a wonderful human being can capture such gorgeous photo.
